Int. Lopez Family Home
Art Director: Lauren Abiouness
This is Maya's original home before going to New York and exists in Tamaha within the Choctaw Nation Reservation in Oklahoma. This set was used for both childhood and adult scenes requiring a changeover in look and feel. It's exterior elements match a physical location that was used for most of the exterior shots.

Ext./Int. Lighthorsemen Headquarters
Art Director: Eric Johnson
This set made use of a set previously designed as a Puritan New England Village for a feature. Windows and doors were changed out; the structures were repaired and dressed to be a 19th century Choctaw Nation Reservation village. The story action centers around the Lighthorsmen Headquarters, which was the former set's Church (plan left on the Site Plan sheet below).
