Zara
Zara is a Spanish fashion retailer that specializes in fast fashion. It is a globally recognized fashion brand. Two of the first Zara Flagship projects completed by Gensler Atlanta were in Orlando at The Florida Mall and at Fig at 7th in downtown Los Angeles. I was fortunate to be assigned to both of these teams. Both projects featured collaborative client interaction and dialogue, unique storefronts (the gracefully curved storefront system at Fig at 7th and the light fins at the Florida Mall), and much varied floor plans. Both also maintained the brand's programmatic and aesthetic standards. The Fig at 7th Flagship is 29,000 s.f. and The Orlando Mall Flagship is 25,000 s.f..
Roles and Responsibilities: Job Captain/Technical Designer - Team collaboration for set completion focusing on specific areas of the set. Primary focus on both projects was the documentation of the exterior storefront system and the accompanying display window spaces. Also worked on reflected ceiling plans, ceiling details, escalator documentation, and elevator vestibule documentation. Collaborated/coordinated with team and project architect for code research, life safety, and quality assurance/quality control reviews and redlines. Coordinated with consultants. I have included details from The Florida Mall location that I worked on in collaboration with my team.
